Now we are in the third week of sleep training, sometimes I wonder if there is a day she will sleep through the night... I'm so exhausted. Based on my own experience, I think the phrase "sleep like a baby" doesn't make much sense! She hasn't slept through out the night yet, but definitely there have been some improvements. yay! Although it probably should help if I stick to one method.

チビの誕生後、なかなか行く機会のなかったDC。今日は珍しく友達とDC内でランチ〜♪　ちょっと前から気になっていたんだよね、このお店。 Shake Shack というハンバーガーとシェイクのお店で、旦那も近くのオフィスで仕事があって気になっていた様子。 これまた店内のデザインがちょっと良い感じ。私にしては珍しくイチゴシェイクもオーダー（名前がシェイクなんだもん。オーダーしてみたくなるよね〜）。ハンバーガーはアメリカにしては小さめだったので、全部食べた後も(！)後悔なしで美味しかった。おススメ！ お昼後、天気も良かったのでDC内を歩き回りたかったのに、速攻帰宅して３人でお昼寝。前の晩、３人とも朝の４時頃まで起きてたんだよね…　旦那は不幸にも仕事のトラブルで、私は寝てくれないチビのお付き合い…　詳しい事は、後で書くけれど月曜から始めたスリープトレーニング（夜の授乳中止し、夜起

年が明けたと思ったら、いつの間にか１月もあとわずかに。年末からずーっとドタバタしてました。先日、チビは９ヶ月（！）健診があり、身長も体重も平均値に近づいて来てしまったよ。ハイハイの距離とスピードがアップし、運動量が増えたのか、スリムダウン。これも、遊びに来ていた７ヶ月上の従兄弟くんの影響かな？従兄弟のKくんは、１５ヶ月なのに既に２−３歳児の大きさ。なのにアカリは自分より一回り以上大きい、Kくんを相手に張り合っていたし、オモチャの取り合いまで！子供の逞しさにビックリさせられたよ〜　何かにつけて、Kくんの真似をしたがり、ライバル意識全開だった…　二人ともまだ喋らないから、無言でのやり取りは見てて面白いものがあったよ。ゴジラとガメラの戦いを無声映画で見た気分…　とにかくすごいかった！Hasn't January just started not long time ago? そうそう、だいぶ遅い帰国の話ですが、日本の家族にもチビをあわせられたし、おいしいご飯たべたし、とても充実した帰国だったのですが、まさか５ヶ月の赤ん坊と空港で一泊する羽目になるとは思ってなかったのでびっくり！着く前から前途多難なでした…　成田着陸時刻に台風が東京上陸してしまい、急遽新千歳空港に臨時着陸したものの、４時間機内に缶詰状態。幸いにもチビはお利口にしててくれたので、以外に楽だったけれど、ようやく成田についたのは夜の１０時! 台風の影響で都内への交通手段はなく、ホテルも満席だしタクシー待ちは長蛇の列…　ひとりでスーツケース、ベビーカー、手荷物２個と５ヶ月のチビを抱っこしてた私は、途方にくれる羽目に…　　結局どうしようもないので諦めて空港で一夜を明かし、翌日の朝九時のバスで実家に無事ついたんだけど、ほんっと疲れた〜 !! 今思うと、良くひとりでどうにかなったなぁ〜と思うよ…　オムツを持
